“Feisty, Cerebral Sketch Comedy”
– Chicago Reader
“Seriously Funny Stuff, Likably Geeky and Spot-on in its Ridicule”
– Time Out Chicago
In Urlakis & Cusick: Questionable Lullabies, Dave Urlakis and Sean Cusick explore the uncomfortable truths revealed in consumer focus groups, look at why wealthy men really hunt animals to extinction, and give life to the horrifying circumstances hidden in common nursery rhymes. From famous authors to fallen athletes to everyday parents, Urlakis & Cusick take aim at all of them and more in another hour-long blitz of frenetic fun with a dark twist.
Both alums of the groundbreaking hit satire Best Church of God, and each an experienced fixture of the local sketch and improv scene, Urlakis & Cusick first partnered up for last year’s self-titled debut, Urlakis & Cusick. It was hailed as one of the funniest shows of 2011 by Time Out Chicago, who called it “seriously funny stuff, likably geeky and spot-on in its ridicule.” The Chicago Reader awarded the show “Recommended” status and praised it as “feisty, cerebral sketch comedy.” RedEye also took note, calling Urlakis & Cusick a “rising comedy act to watch in 2012.”
