Friends, a theatrical experience is hardly complete without the electric tingle in the back of your mind that the police just might burst in at any second. Danger, that’s what a live performance needs. And here we have it, along with character, sophistication, and aggressive sensuality. This is not just another burlesque/variety show. The Kiss Kiss Cabaret is going to push the envelope.
This February, the Kiss Kiss Cabaret debuts at the Greenhouse Theater Center with an open run of weekly performances (making them Chicago’s ONLY weekly burlesque cabaret). The beauties of the Kiss Kiss Cabaret Coquettes are ready to tease audiences with an eye-popping display of the striptease arts! The comedians have prepared up-to-the-minute comedy hijinks, and the master of ceremonies, Mr. Max Flattery, is game to lead the audience in a number of slightly tipsy sing-alongs. All of this for the low, low price of $15 per ticket.
“We’ve cast Chicago’s hottest burlesque performers and given them permission to try anything that they want on our stage. If this isn’t the wildest show in town, I’ll eat my hat,” said Director Chris O. Biddle, “my delicious chocolate and strawberry-flavored hat.”
The sultry members of the Kiss Kiss Cabaret Coquettes collectively boast over 20 years of burlesque experience and have performed with some of Chicago’s best-known burlesque troupes, including the Belmont Burlesque Revue, Vaudezilla, the Girlie-Q Variety Hour, and Varietease Cabaret, and have been featured in the New York Burlesque Festival, the New Orleans Burlesque Festival and our own Windy City Burlesque Festival. The Kiss Kiss Cabaret Coquettes include:
ELISA PURLS – The Exotic Mistress of the Slow Reveal!
JOLIE ROBERSON – Resident Belly-Dance Expert!
LULA HOUP GAROU – Reigning Queen of the Hooptease!
MISS KISS KISS – Making her Burlesque Debut!
NAUGHTY NATANYA – The Grand Dame of the Kiss Kiss Stage!
SIREN JINX – Resident DJ and Electro-Queen!
TITI TOUCHE – This Midwestern Girl will Break Hearts!
Performances will feature comedic musical accompaniment by Ken Raabe on guitar, Mike Gallinari on bass and Mazurka Wojciechowska and her incredible accordion skills. Each performance will also feature special guest stars trained in the acrobatic, magical and musical arts, including the Amazing Tomas!
The Kiss Kiss Cabaret is produced and directed by Chris O. Biddle, with choreography by Erica Reid, and technical assistance by Greg Inda.
